I think my baby/child has a tongue tie (and/or lip tie). When should I see you?

It is best practice to receive a full functional oral motor examination prior to frenectomies. We are able to evaluate movement patterns, observe tension in the body, educate you on the process, and provide oral motor activities to support skill development. Outcomes from the procedure depend on the child’s whole-body readiness and caregiver confidence on how to change movement once range of motion improves. Jessica will discuss findings, readiness, concerns, and progress with your frenectomy provider as they are able to be reached.

I have concerns with how my child uses, understands, and/or says words. Can you help?

Yes! We can evaluate receptive and expressive language skills, play skills, and articulation skills. We are knowledgable in analytical and natural language acquisition (gestalt language processing) and can support you in expanding your child’s individual language skills.

I’m not sure WHAT my child needs, but they’re struggling with meeting developmental milestones.

Your child may have challenges in one area (speech, or gross motor skills, or sensory regulation, or fine motor skills, etc) or multiple areas. Over our 15 minute consultation, I can provide resources if other professionals may be helpful to you. If we complete a formal evaluation, recommendations to other providers will be discussed as needed.

When are you available for evaluations/sessions?

Currently, evaluations and sessions occur on select weeknight evenings, along with Fridays. Jessica is available select weekend days as well.

I don’t live in Maryland but would like help. What should I do?

A virtual consultation (cannot be covered by insurance) will help us brainstorm ideas and provide general recommendations to support your needs. Jessica will gather information prior to meeting and will meet 1 on 1 virtually. After the consultation, you’ll receive a 1 page summary of what was discussed. If Jessica feels virtual consultations are not appropriate, she will try to find providers in your area who can help you in person.
